Projects

In 2021 we worked in conjunction with local wildlife group Wild Marlow to provide a nesting platform for a pair of Peregrine Falcons which had taken up residence on the spire of All Saints Church, Marlow. The birds quickly adopted this breeding space and successfully raised three youngsters in 2021. You can see video footage here.

In 2015 we were approached by a new local bird conservation group The Maidenhead Marlow and Cookham Swift Group Maidenhead and Cookham Swift Group | Facebook who started an initiative to provide nest sites for endangered swifts in response to the demolition of a Maidenhead hotel where swifts were known to be nesting.

We were delighted to be able to supply and install nest boxes to domestic and commercial premises (including the new Premier Inn Maidenhead) and the project achieved a world record for the greatest number of new nest places provided by any community in a single year. Some of these boxes are now being adopted by returning swifts. This project continues to grow and we expect to be providing more nest boxes to meet demand in coming years.
