We are a small, not-for-profit volunteer group making nest boxes for garden birds, raptors, swifts, hedgehogs and bats. We sell our boxes at cost price.

About

BNBG is a voluntary group established in 2014 to encourage the population of Barn Owl and other declining species in our area, but we now make a big range of different types. We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), Reg No 1166818. We are based near Bisham, Berks. All our boxes are sold at cost.

Projects

In 2021 we worked in partnership with local wildlife group Wil Marlow to provide a nesting platform for a pair of Peregrine Falcons which had taken up residence on the spire of All Saints Church, Marlow. The birds happily adopted this breeding space and successfully raised three youngsters. Another feather in our caps!

In 2015 we were approached by a new local bird conservation group The Maidenhead Marlow and Cookham Swift Group www.helpourswifts.org.uk/ who started an initiative to provide nest sites for endangered swifts in response to the demolition of a Maidenhead hotel .......

Events

Pandemic restrictions permitting, we will be holding a HOMES FOR WILDLIFE event at Braywick Nature Centre on Saturday 22nd January 2021, in partnership with Wild Maidenhead, where you will be able to see and buy our range of boxes for garden birds, barn owls, tawny owls, little owls, kestrels, robins, blue tits and great tits and swifts, hedgehogs and bats.
